On the afternoon of February 23, we’re hosting a conversation between Lama Rod Owens and students in several undergraduate courses on the topic of his 2020 book, Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation through Anger. An author, activist, and Buddhist teacher, Lama Rod Owens is one of the most influential American Buddhist teachers working today. Students in courses on meditation and race at the Mississauga campus and in the Department for the Study of Religion are reading his book this semester, and they are super excited about the opportunity to speak with him directly in this online session. If you’re a student locally and want to join us, please contact Sarah Richardson (sarah.richardson@utoronto.ca) for details.

The University of Toronto operates on land that for thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and  the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land. Learn more about this history.
