In his first visit to Toronto, the Ven. Pomnyun Sunim will conduct a Dharma Question and Answer session students and all members of the University of Toronto community and wider public.  

 Ven. Pomnyun Sunim is one of South Korea’s most influential religious leaders, widely recognized for his advocacy for peace and his leadership in engaged Buddhism, an approach that applies Buddhist principles to contemporary global challenges. He has been honored with prestigious awards including the 2002 Ramon Magsaysay Award and the 2020 Niwano Peace Prize. 

This event is cosponsored by the Buddhism Psychology and Mental Health program at New College and The Robert HN Ho Family Foundation Centre for Buddhist Studies at the University of Toronto.
