This workshop launches the EAL Tibetan Studies “First Fridays” Series for the 2018 spring semester. Tibetan Studies Librarian, Lauran Hartley, will demonstrate and field questions about the details of Tibetan Wylie Romanization. The workshop will focus on bibliographic search strategies and publishing conventions, with discussion of divergences with “Extended Wylie,” other romanization systems, and phonetic transcriptions. Above all, this workshop is hands-on — please bring your laptops and questions! No RSVP necessary. For more information: lh2112@columbia.edu.
