DESCRIPTION:A workshop led by Isabelle Ratié of the Sorbonne Nouvelle\, P
 aris\, entitled "A Śaiva response to the Buddhist criticism of action: re
 adings of Utpaladeva’s unpublished Īśvarapratyabhijñāvivṛti and A
 bhinavagupta’s commentary thereon." Reading sessions will run 10 AM to 1
  PM EST\, Tuesday\, Feb 9th to Thursday\, Feb. 11th. The group will contex
 tualize the Śaiva engagement with the Buddhist (particularly Dharmakīrti
 an) philosophy and read selected passages in Sanskrit. The workshop expect
 s at least an intermediate knowledge of Sanskrit and an interest in Śaivi
 sm\, Buddhism\, or philosophical literature in Sanskrit. Interested partic

  link as well as access to readings.
